Worship.

Jesus said that the most important of the Ten Commandments was this: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” He made it clear that worshipping God is a constant priority. God created humans to worship Him, not because He needed us to, but because He wanted to relate to us. That’s why He sent Jesus! Our goal is to make God the very centre of everything we do, so that our first priority is Him.

In our Sunday meetings, we give a significant amount of time over to participating in praise and worship of God. After the introduction to the meeting, the worship band leads the congregation in singing a number of songs. During this time, there are often contributions from the congregation in the form of audible prayers and Bible readings. We encourage people to be free to respond to what God has done! The songs that we sing vary in style and theme, and include hymns as well as many songs that have been written in recent years.

The worship time is generally guitar led, supported by keyboard, drums and a number of other instruments. As well as starting the meeting by praising God for who He is and what He has done for us, we can often end the meeting in worship as we seek to respond to what has been taught in the sermon.
